The Pastor’s Letter:

Message Body
Greetings family and friends of Trilby Church!

First and foremost, I want to remind each of you that we walk by faith, not by sight. And that God calls us to “Be Not Afraid”. These are vital for us in this time and season that we are in as a church, nation, and world.
Today (Sunday March 15, 2020) as planned we gathered as a worshiping community for special music and guided time of prayer. While there was a number of persons there in attendance, we were reminded that we are the “Body of Christ”. The apostle Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 12:12-13 that “The body of Christ has many different parts, just as any other body does. Some of us are Jews, and others are Gentiles. Some of us are slaves, and others are free. But God’s Spirit baptized each of us and made us part of the body of Christ. Now we each drink from that same Spirit.” (CEB)

My intent for this letter is to address the coming days in the life of our church, effective immediately all functions and meetings at the church are being placed on hold. This includes weekly Bible study group, Wednesday Soup & Study, Boy Scouts, and yoga classes. The office will remain open for regular business and I will continue to maintain regular office hours with Pastoral care only in response to major medical or crisis situations.

Worship service on Sunday March 22, will be canceled.
You are encouraged to continue to support the ministry of the church through your prayers a and giving during this time. I am encouraging that any weekly giving’s be mailed directly to the church.

Please keep in mind that all of this that is taking place is on a fluid basis and changes to these choices may happen daily.

Continue to pray in the Spirit,
Pastor Mark
